Ian Reid is a photographer born and raised in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. Though his subject matter isn’t exclusively the borough of Brooklyn, I would go so far to say, his camera speaks for Brooklyn and Brooklynites. His images border on surreal. It feels like they are not really photos but images plucked from my own memory. An idealized version of the New York and Brooklyn I grew up in.
